Rancho Santa Margarita Solar Power: Ennis Residence
The Ennis residence is a prime example of a home that uses the sun to power the home. The reason for this, was the homeowner's, "want to reduce reliance on utility grids." Mr. Ennis decided to achieve this with the help of Sullivan Solar Power, claiming that they were, "not the lowest, but competitive - and provided a much realistic proposal compared to some companies that obviously just wanted to sell maximum panels." Currently, the home produces 3,800 watts of power using 14 panels, and is reducing its utility bill.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 5,700 to 7,600 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 9,424 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $1,672 in Solar Power Savings.
